I have attached photos of your 300 grain Ballistic extreme after hitting a Canadian Moose at 230 yards and the other at 185 yards with 120 grains of Blackhorn 209 powder. Recovered bullet weight was 255 grains...excellent! Bullet was recovered under the skin on the opposite side of the animal. I have also included pictures of the entrance hole in the muscle tissue. The 2nd moose shot is potential 3rd largest Canadian moose in the world taken with a muzzle loader...approx. 210 inches

New Record Book Muzzleloading Kodiak Brown Bear

It was just this May, 2012, and Duane Dunham of Waupaca, Wisconsin, headed to Kodiak Island, Alaska, in search of a record brown bear taken with a muzzleloader. Duane was loaded up with a Parker Productions .45 caliber 300 grain Match Hunter projectile dressed with a short, black MMP sabot. It was one of those last minute opportunities, a bit unexpected, but Duane decided not to let the chance pass him by.

Breathtaking scenery is an added bonus, of course, but the weather is variable, going from relatively mild and sunny to snowstorm from day to day. Duane got the chance to enjoy that as well. The video that follows tells the tale, as best as it can be told in fourteen minutes or so.

I was trying to get the number one brown bear with a muzzleloader but came up 1/4 inch short-28 1/4 inch skull squared right at ten foot- but should have the number two spot by an inch. Your bullet worked perfectly, one shot and passed all the way through. I have a great video of the hunt and If you want to use some pictures for advertising I will get some on a disc and send them to you. He will be officially scored next week when I receive the skull. Realizing the Dream!

There are some things that simply never leave our memories or our dreams! I remember well the first time I saw a flight of geese gliding low over my deer blind; the first time I saw the Tetons; my first trip to Alaska; my first glimpse of migrating Caribou and my first trip to Big Timber Montana and the first time I held a Shiloh Sharps.

There has always been embedded in my DNA the desire to own and develop a respectable skill with the Sharps.Some very good friends took care of the ownership sometime back and presented me with a beautiful Sharps 45/110. The following are photos of some of my testing. I would like to call to your attention the projectiles at the end of the photos. These are the Hydra Cons developed for the Sharps. They have the traditional appearance with the dependable expansion that is characteristic of the Hydra Con. I wish to acknowledge Mr. Steve Garbe for his assistance with bullet testing and for producing the fantastic SPG bullet lube and instructional and loading data. I hope the following will be both useful and enjoyable.

Hey Randy,

I had to share these groups with someone who'd appreciate them. (laugh) I may not do this again in my lifetime. I'm still a rookie with firearms, but had success with archery... so at least I know about form and aiming. My bench is terrible, my seat was too high, and I was not relaxed at all... but the gun shot two excellent three shot groups. I was amazed really.

This was the Savage ML 10 you ordered for me last year, with the 300gr Match Hunter ... 59 gr of VV (that you helped me get with a simple phone call this year). 100 yds... cool, no wind.

Boy that load packs a wallop!! Very slight cut on the bridge of my nose where my scope bumped my safety glasses one time. (new rubber frames ordered).

I had spoken with Bob Parker when ordering the bullets, and was going to try 60 gr, but the cap on the little plastic container wouldn't completely close with 60... good thing I'd say.

Hi Bob,

My name is Bob McLuckey. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions on the telephone the other day and for referring me to George Costello who answered the rest. The attached target is from some shooting I did with your 300 match/hunter bullets. I shot them out of a rem 700ml which I had converted to shoot a 25" McGowan 45 cal barrel with a savage smokeless breech plug. The load I used was 68gr of IMR4198, one felt wad, and a CCI 209mag primer. The groups measured .382 at 100yds and .701 at 200yds. I chronographed the load right at 2600fps. I am amazed at how well this bullet shoots and at its down range ballistic capabilities. I basically have taken my muzzleloader and this bullet and turned them into a single shot 338mag. as far as ballistic are concerned. I can't wait to try the 325 as well. Thanks Again

Thank you for the information packet that you sent. It helped confirm how my rifle was shooting.

I just got back from a trip to hunt Ohio's muzzleloading season. On the third morning I put a respectable buck to bed in a sanctuary. The wind switched so I had to change blinds to match the conditions. That afternoon I took the widest buck of my hunting career. His rack carried 9 points but his inside spread was an impressive 22 1/4" inches. I use a TC Pro Hunter in 50 caliber loaded with 105 grains of Blackhorn 209 powder topped with a 250 gr. Hydro Con. I was sighted in 3" high at a 100 yards and put the buck down in his tracks about the 200 yard mark. I could not be happier with the performance of this bullet. I did not recover the bullet since it was a complete pass through.

275 Ballistic Extreme

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to pass along this message from another happy customer…

Hey Bob,
Just wanted to drop you a note on the outstanding performance of your 275 BE (again). Been using this bullet for the past three seasons in my Savage ML. I shoot sabotless, sized to .449 with a wonder wad and 57gr. of H4198. I took six deer this year with the 275 BE the longest shot being 265 yds. All six DRT and only recovered one bullet which took out both shoulders and still weighed 192 gr. I shoot three different Savages with one .45 set up for sabotless, one .45 using sabots and a standard .50 for close hunts. Killed total of eleven deer and none of other bullets performed as well as the BE. I use a 195 gr. Barnes with sabot which does OK but would like to try some of your 200 gr HydroCons for next season.
